Honky tonk with a soul feel

if you wanna fill their shoes, look at their feet

Isaac Durst is a 22 year old singer songwriter from the Peoria Illinois Area. With resonating and heartfelt lyrics sang on top of soulful takes on honky tonk music with a touch of blues, Isaac prides himself on keeping the traditions and truth of country music while pulling from his large amount of influences to create a unique sound.

Getting his start after getting caught singing in high school, Isaac never knew he could sing until he was 17 years old. He spent the year he turned 18 teaching himself how to play the guitar on a 1980's Yamaha that his Papa gifted to him. "As soon as I was given his guitar, I spent the next year practicing. I would play for 3-5 hours a day every single day of the year. I played until my fingers bled. I just wanted to be able to play so bad."

Since learning, Isaac has been cutting his teeth everywhere. From honky tonk dive bars to busy street corners, wherever he could set up, he would play. Since beginning, Isaac has been blessed to open for big names such as Zach Top, Sammy Kershaw, Diamond Rio, Trace Adkins, and Casey Donahew. He has gotten to collaborate with Braxton Keith and Ben Chapman and pins his opportunities to connecting around the music scene. "I'd just go up and talk to people. Id say, "Hey man, I love your stuff, can we jam?" They'd all just be totally cool and Ive always made friends/ connections off of being super social. They do say fortune favors the bold I guess."

With his first chunk of original music releasing on all platforms in a 4 song EP in May, and an upcoming appearance at Tailgate n Tallboys in Bloomington Illinois, if there was ever a time to hop on the "Charm Train," it's now.  Don't forget to sign up for the mailing list for updates on show dates and music releases!
